Disclaimer

Please read this page before relying on any figure produced by the Pennsylvania paycheck calculator. By using the site, you accept the limits described below.

Not a Government Site

This website is not a government site and is not affiliated with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry, or the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development. None of those agencies have reviewed, endorsed, or approved the content or the calculations produced here. Official resources are linked from inside the calculator for your reference.

1. Estimates only

Every figure shown by the calculator is an estimate, not an exact value. The numbers are produced by applying the published 2026 IRS federal brackets, the 2026 standard deduction, the 2026 Social Security wage base and Medicare rates, the Pennsylvania flat 3.07% income tax, the 2026 PA employee Unemployment Compensation (SUI) rate of 0.07%, and preset or user-entered local Earned Income Tax / Local Services Tax rates.

Actual withholding depends on factors we cannot see — your employer's exact payroll engine, your certified Form W-4 with steps you may not have transcribed, supplemental wage policies on bonuses, mid-year adjustments to your W-4, your actual EIT residency under Act 32, and any tax-equalisation adjustments if you are a remote worker.

2. Not tax, legal, or financial advice

The output of this tool is informational. Nothing here is tax advice, legal advice, financial planning, accounting, or a payroll-service deliverable. If a binding figure matters — for a job offer, for payroll, for a year-end return, or for an immigration form — consult a licensed CPA, enrolled agent, or attorney in the relevant jurisdiction.

3. Reliance at your own risk

Any financial, hiring, or compliance decision you make based on figures from this site is your own responsibility. We disclaim liability for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of the calculator or any content on the site, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

4. No warranty

The calculator is provided "as is" and "as available". While we make reasonable efforts to keep rates and brackets current, we make no warranty about accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free. A bug or stale rate will not be considered a defect — we will fix it as soon as we learn about it.

5. Rate sources

Federal data: IRS Publication 15-T, IRS Publication 15, IRS Publication 505, IRS Topic 751. Pennsylvania data: PA Department of Revenue (Personal Income Tax), PA Department of Labor & Industry (UC rate), PA Department of Community & Economic Development (Act 32 / EIT register). Local EIT rates default to illustrative figures; users are responsible for confirming their actual rate via the official Act 32 register.

6. Third-party content

Outbound links to government websites are provided as convenience. We do not control the content of those sites, and they are governed by their own notices. Following an outbound link takes you out of our scope.

7. Cookies and data

Cookies used by this site are described in the Cookie Policy. Data handling rules are in the Privacy Policy and apply together with this disclaimer.

8. Children

The site is intended for adult users making employment, payroll, or benefits decisions for themselves or their organisation. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

9. Changes to rates

Tax figures are updated annually when confirmed by primary sources. Mid-year rate revisions will be applied promptly and the version bumped. The on-page version badge and the "Updated" indicator in the corners of the page reflect the current build.

10. Governing law

This disclaimer is governed by the laws of the State of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. See the full Terms & Conditions for arbitration and venue details.

11. Contact

Open the Contact Us page if you spot anything you believe is wrong, misleading, or missing.

Bottom line: the calculator gives realistic take-home-pay estimates, but every official figure must be confirmed with a CPA, with your employer's payroll office, or with the relevant government agency. We give you a starting point — not an answer you can paste into an offer letter.
